This month's meeting is only a couple days away, on Jan 19th, at 7pm. We have invited recent LaG grads back (via zoom) to talk about their college experience. These former Music Studio students are now attending both conservatory and non-conservatory colleges. Please mark your calendars, and urge your LaG student(s) to watch the meeting as well.

January 28: New Music Ensemble concert 7pm. As of this writing, the concert will be performed for an audience at LaG and also live-streamed, just like the December performances. Ticket information and the link to watch will be provided closer to the date.

Hello Instrumental and Vocal Studio Seniors,

Yesterday, Ms. Ballard, Mr. Meyers and I met with student government to discuss the Senior Juries and Music Commencement Assessment. We understand that students have some questions and concerns and we have plans to be flexible about the Jury process and would like to discuss end of year performance assessments with the community.

I will host a zoom session for all Instrumental and Vocal seniors on Thursday, January 20 at 7:00pm (see zoom link below) to help better understand the end of year performance assessments.

SUMMER STUDY SCHOLARSHIPS FROM ALUMNI & FRIENDS OF LAGUARDIA

The Alumni & Friends of LaGuardia's Summer Study Scholarship application is open! Each year Alumni & Friends of LaGuardia distributes over $50,000 in scholarships to Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen with financial need who wish to pursue arts programs and private lessons during the summer. The Music Studio is still accepting donations for the 21-22 school year. (LaGuardia PA Music Studio is a 501(c)(3) organization)

You can set up a one-time or recurring monthly donations to the Music Studio (and the PA) through PayPal. To do so, click the Direct Donation link below or follow these instructions:

Log into your MTK account, click on Ways to Give under the Donate & Volunteer drop-down menu, then on the underlined red link Donate to a specific studio (2 places on the page allow you to do that). The PayPal page that appears is auto-filled to make a donation to the General PA, but you can designate the Music Studio by clicking on the drop-down menu. Below that box is the option to make your donation a monthly-recurring one. Or, by leaving that box unchecked, the donation will be a one-time donation.

You can select any amount you like to donate; all contributions gratefully received!
